Emily Mirbod: HR Coordinator

Meet Emily Mirbod, our HR Coordinator! Emily helps with administrative duties, recruiting, new hire onboarding, and organizing social elements to make ParentSquare even more fun!

What are you most likely doing on a Saturday afternoon?

On the weekends I love to go to my favorite bakery in town, get a cup of coffee and some pastries, and then sit and people watch.

If you could travel anywhere, where would you go & why?

I’d love to travel to places in Europe that I haven’t been yet (most of them), but especially Spain and London.

What teacher impacted you the most? Why?

My high school English teacher was the most incredible and influential teacher I’ve ever had. He had a sincere passion for teaching, which inspired me to seek a similar passion in my career.

What is the nerdiest thing you do in your free time?

I’ve always been a huge Marvel fan, almost every year I binge watch all the movies in order!

One thing you cannot live without?

The most important thing in my life are all the wonderful people that I love! Specifically my mom, family, boyfriend and friends.

If you had to teach a subject, what would it be?

I’d love to teach a sociology class because it’s something that I feel like I could talk about for hours.

Do you have any pets? If so – what kind? What are their names?

I have two adorable cats, Val and Liberty.

If you could magically gain one talent, what would it be?

I’d love to be a math genius, I’ve always been better at reading and writing. I think it would be really fun to be a whiz with numbers!

Where did you grow up?

I grew up in Santa Barbara, CA.

What are some small things that make your day better?

Tasty food, funny texts from friends, sunny weather, and music!

What do you like most about working for ParentSquare?

ParentSquare feels like a breath of fresh air, everyone on the team is so incredible!
