What is ParentSquare Summer Camp?

Summer Camp is designed exclusively for current ParentSquare customers or Remind customers who are transitioning to ParentSquare. This self-paced training program helps educators and administrators explore ParentSquare tools, best practices, and time-saving tips in a fun, summer-themed environment.

Customers can choose their learning adventure, join virtual campfires (aka live webinars), and get ready for back-to-school success with a plan for effective and engaging school-home communication.

How is Summer Camp different this year?

In the past, summer campers have received an email each day with their activity for the day for five days. This year, summer campers can log in to the ParentSquare Academy starting June 9, 2025 and complete the work at their leisure. This will allow campers to complete Summer Camp while also tending to their busy summer and back-to-school schedule. The ParentSquare Academy will send periodic reminders for you to complete the activities. Please note that all five days of content must be completed by midnight on September 12 to receive credit for your attendance.

Will I get a certificate for participation?

Yes! Anyone who completes all of the activities will receive a 5-hour PD certificate.

Can I complete all of the Summer Camp activities in one day?

Not really. Summer Camp is to be completed over a series of five days. While all five days of content will be available, we recommend that participants complete one lesson per day to be sure they can reflect on the information and apply their knowledge (as appropriate).

Will I have to join a Zoom meeting each day?

No. However, we offer optional virtual Campfire Sessions for participants who want to learn more:

Admins: July 14-18
Teachers: July 21-25

How much time per day/week can I expect to spend working on the Summer Camp activities?

You can expect to work on Summer Camp activities for about one hour per day over five days. You may choose to spend more time each day (if needed). You can work at your own pace but please note that the course closes at midnight on September 12, and no further completion can take place after that time.

Is there a specific time of day the activities have to be completed?

No. You can work on Summer Camp at your own pace at any time during the day.

I registered for Summer Camp. How do I access it in the future?

You can visit the ParentSquare Academy to locate your ongoing courses under “Dashboard.”

What is required to participate in Summer Camp?

Our ParentSquare Academy uses SSO via ParentSquare for login. In order to access the Academy, you must have a valid ParentSquare account.
