Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) Policy
Effective Date: September 25, 2025
At ParentSquare, we understand that some students, and/or school and school district faculty and staff may mistakenly or unwittingly share content that is not theirs to share. We respect fair use principles, but we also respect your copyrights and will attempt to quickly resolve your concerns about alleged infringement.
1. Reporting Copyright Infringement
- A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner;
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or, if multiple works are covered by a single notification, a representative list of such works. If possible, please share a screenshot, and, if possible, a specific URL so ParentSquare can examine this issue quickly;
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity, and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material. Identifying information that can help ParentSquare quickly resolve your concerns may include information about the specific account(s) that are posting the allegedly infringing information; links to third-party sites, if relevant; and, where possible, a specific URL or application;
- Information reasonably sufficient to allow us to contact you, such as an address, telephone number, and, if available, an email address. Our aim at ParentSquare is to resolve your concerns and any alleged infringement quickly and fairly;
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law. Please tell ParentSquare as much as you can about the copyrighted information and your or your client’s ownership of that material; and
- A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
